A presenter (referred to in the meeting as Mr. Scott) explained TRIP priorities are coordinated with Collier and Charlotte MPOs, require at least a 50% local funding match and that district guidance suggests roughly $5 million across the district will be available for TRIP projects in the five-year work program. He told the board Lee County's top TRIP priority remains Burnt Store Road and that some jurisdictions requested higher-dollar projects though actual available funding is lower than individual requests.
Following presentation and no public comment, the board moved, seconded and passed the TRIP priority list with no objections.
Separately, the board considered the appointment of Derek Felder to the Citizen Advisory Committee. Speakers noted Mr. Felder's active participation on the CAC and service on the local coordinating board for transportation disadvantaged; the board approved his appointment by motion with no objections.
