The Saline County Board of Commissioners approved two resolutions transferring small amounts from the General Fund to the Grant Fund and approved payment of the multi-page claims list presented by county staff at the June 23 meeting.
Commissioner Brian Pribyl moved to approve Resolution #2026-34 to transfer $1,000 from the General Fund to the Grant Fund (to be reimbursed when grant funds are available); Commissioner Ray Rohrig seconded and the motion passed 5-0. Commissioner Pribyl also moved to approve Resolution #2026-35 to transfer $700 from the General Fund to the Grant Fund; Commissioner Russ Karpisek seconded and the motion passed 5-0.
The board then approved claims as presented. The minutes list multiple vendors and large payments, including Deere Credit ($324,393.00), NIRMA ($350,342.00), MIPS ($94,616.04), ECC ($200,000.00) and payroll totaling $279,714.09.
During the Highway Superintendent report, Superintendent Filipi told the board a road on the Smithfield detour was closed due to rain and culvert problems and that the state hopes to reopen the road soon with a pilot car to manage traffic. The board adjourned at 11:29 a.m.
The minutes record motions and roll-call votes for the transfers, claims approval and adjournment; detailed vendor invoices or contract documents are available from the county clerk’s office.
