At the March 12 council meeting, the Beaman City Council approved the consent agenda containing bills and financial reports for the period, including total claims of $24,646.82.
The claims list in the minutes highlights $11,255.00 for Memorial Hall repairs and $3,145.00 for the purchase and installation of 10 LED lights at Memorial Hall. Other recorded expenses included routine library, utilities and payroll items. Reported receipts for the period totaled $16,379.11 across funds including the General Fund, Water Fund and Sewer Fund.
Council Member Jason Scafferi reported that final cleaning and painting at the Memorial Building are complete and the new LED lights have been installed. The council briefly discussed changing the locks at Memorial Hall to better track keys; Dave Moorman was directed to obtain a quote and the council will decide whether to move forward at the next meeting.
The consent agenda motion to approve minutes, bills and February financial reports was moved by Brandon Schleisman and seconded by Barry Brockman; the minutes record the vote as "Ayes 5."
