Dunlap withdraws lot-line revision after questions about DEP 'non-buildable' language

Donna Dunlap, with her brother Tim Jobe present, chose not to proceed with review of the Dunlap & Dunlap Lot Line Revision application during the Salem Township Planning Commission meeting on Jan. 7, 2026.
Solicitor Ryan Thomas told the commission and the applicant that "if you want it pulled, you can pull it but the 'non-buildable' language is more of procedural language that has to be on there because it is part of our Standard Operating Procedures. It doesn't change the profile of the lot." Township Engineer Doug Regola explained that the non-buildable notation is tied to whether a lot is suitable for on-lot sewage; if the applicant tests for on-lot sewage, the lot could become buildable.
The commission moved to review the application, accepted it as complete, and then voted to table the plan after Ms. Dunlap elected not to proceed. Commissioners noted that withdrawal would require reapplication and fees if the owner later seeks to resubmit the plan. The motions to review, accept completeness and to table all passed unanimously.
