Salem Township Planning Commission elects chair, vice chair and secretary; approves minutes with one abstention
Summary
At its Jan. 7 organizational meeting, the Salem Township Planning Commission reorganized leadership—naming Connie Mattei chair, Paul Holleran vice chair and Kelly Otto secretary—and approved the Dec. 3, 2025 minutes; Commissioner John Wright abstained from the minutes vote.
Connie Mattei was nominated and unanimously elected chair of the Salem Township Planning Commission at the board's organizational meeting on Jan. 7, 2026, at the municipal building.
Paul Holleran was unanimously elected vice chair and Kelly Otto was unanimously elected secretary in separate motions that passed by the three-member commission. The reorganization followed an acknowledgement that former member John Durco had resigned after four years of service.
The commission then moved to approve the minutes of the Dec. 3, 2025 meeting (which considered the Eichinger, Tresco lot consolidation). The motion to approve carried with Mattei and Holleran voting in favor and John Wright abstaining.
Connie Mattei said she appreciated being able to serve and committed to continuing in the role. No other substantive agenda actions were taken during the reorganization portion of the meeting.
