Milo council discusses community center donations, park mural and patrol timing; items sent to future agendas
Summary

Councilman Griggs opened discussion during old business about a possible per-capita donation to the Milo Community Center (Community Projects, Inc.) to support winter walking access.
Residents MaryJo Ohnemus and Kim DeLay shared rental and maintenance concerns and provided estimated monthly expenses; Council asked the city clerk to email for more information and add the item to a future agenda for further consideration.
On parks, Griggs presented a proposal from Drake’s Darling Institutes to provide a mural template and paint at no cost if community volunteers would execute the work. Council members agreed not to proceed with the mural until the park stage is renovated. Griggs also raised the possibility of planting perennial flowers along a trail easement to create a “pollinator pathway”; the clerk was asked to check easement status and report back.
Griggs expressed concern about the timing of Sheriff’s patrols; the clerk was directed to place that item on the next meeting agenda. Mayor Hall said she had spoken with TRM Disposal about complaints concerning new trash trucks and asked the company to be mindful of asphalt street edges.
There were no public comments during the meeting; the council adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
