The Milo City Council on Jan. 19 assigned responsibility for trail maintenance mowing to Doug Hembry and city maintenance staff and discussed ways to increase annual advertisers for the Milo Newsletter.
Mayor Hall said the Newsletter’s annual advertising rate is $130 and described distribution channels, including email, mail to Milo homes and outside subscribers, posting on the City of Milo website, and free copies at City Hall, the post office, the library and the bank. Council members discussed outreach to potential advertisers.
Under old business the Council tabled a proposed sidewalk inspection timeline until the next meeting for further consideration.
The meeting also included a brief note that Southeast Warren approved moving to a four-day school week for 2026–27; Councilmember Rodgers said the plan eliminates early-outs, makes each school day 25 minutes longer and leaves Mondays without school day sessions.
The Council did not record public comment on these items during the meeting.
