Milo council approves parcel split, multiple building permits and a July street closing; codification item tabled

The Milo City Council approved several routine land-use and event items during its April 6 meeting.
On a motion by Mason, seconded by Amsden, the council approved a parcel-split adjustment near 18223 G58 Highway (outside the Milo city limits). The council noted the change was a slight adjustment to a prior approval.
The council approved four separate building permits with associated tax abatement applications:
- 223 Olive St — motion by Griggs, second by Rodgers; approved. - 117 4th St — motion by Griggs, second by Mason; approved. - 223 E Belmont St — motion by Mason, second by Rodgers; approved. - 215 Walnut St — motion by Griggs, second by Mason; approved.
All motions carried with Council members Amsden, Griggs, Mason and Rodgers voting aye; Rasmussen was absent.
Council also approved a street closing for the Eric Ohnemus Memorial Car Show on July 5, 2026 (motion by Mason, second by Rodgers) and directed the clerk to provide the closing information to the city maintenance department. Finally, the council voted to table the codification agenda item to the next meeting (motion by Griggs, second by Mason).
