The Sac City Council on April 22 approved a slate of routine items and agreements during a single series of motions and roll-call votes.
At the start of the meeting, Councilmember Bob Murley moved and Councilmember Teresa Bruening seconded approval of the consent agenda. That consent action included approval of the agenda and April 8 minutes; renewal of a Class C retail alcohol license for AAA Restaurant Holding Company, LLC (dba Cattlemen’s Steakhouse); issuance of a Class C retail alcohol license for Ross Ventures LLC (dba Indian Lanes); approval of a Sac City Chamber Main Street parade permit and noise permits for Chautauqua Days; and acceptance of the financial report and receipts and disbursements. The consent agenda also included a claims list with a total of $157,557.52.
Later in the meeting, Council approved Resolution No. 2025-13 authorizing the City Administrator to enter into an Administrative Services Agreement with MissionSquare Retirement (motion by Teresa Bruening; second by Kayla Shull). Council also approved hiring pool staff and the pool’s season rates and hours (motion by Kayla Shull; second by Teresa Bruening). The council granted the requested street closure for the Prairie Pedal event (motion by Tom Lownik; second by Kayla Shull). All votes on these matters were recorded as unanimous.
During Citizen’s Opportunity, resident Steph Bellcock asked that the swim team be allowed extra concessions at home meets and suggested reconsidering a handicap parking spot on S. 6th Street; no council action on the parking location was recorded at the meeting.
