At its Feb. 24 special meeting the Missouri Valley City Council held a budget workshop and discussed several preliminary items without taking formal votes. Topics included replacement of concrete at the municipal pool, special funds department items, water and sewer financials including replacement of some fire hydrants, and employee benefits and pay raises.
Councilmembers and staff used the workshop portion of the meeting to review department needs and budget pressures; no specific appropriation amounts or personnel decisions were approved during the session. Additional budget deliberations and formal action are expected in subsequent meetings.
