Missouri Valley council approves consent agenda, pays contractor and signs fire station completion

The Missouri Valley City Council on Feb. 17 unanimously approved a multi‑item consent agenda and several contracts, including payment to a contractor and formal acceptance of the fire‑station addition’s substantial completion.
Council voted to approve the meeting agenda and the consent agenda, which included minutes, a claims list and January financial and utility reconciliation reports. The council also directed City Hall window washing be reduced from biweekly to quarterly.
In separate motions the council approved pay application #18 to Rogge General Contractors for $7,324.01 and authorized the city administrator to sign the Certificate of Substantial Completion for the city’s fire‑station addition. Both motions passed on roll call votes with Council members Tuttle, Keizer, Struble, Meadows and Gilpin recorded as voting aye.
The council accepted a proposal from Bear Creek Archaeology, Inc. for an archaeological desktop assessment and architectural reconnaissance survey ahead of planned water main replacements, tabled awarding the cemetery mowing contract, and awarded a $6,730 contract to CJ Futures to spray city facilities.
Council President Struble moved the motions on the consent items and related contracts; Tuttle seconded several motions. All formal votes taken during the meeting were unanimous.
