Council approves $15,000 amendment to Chamber agreement for July 4 parade security

On June 22 the Enumclaw City Council approved Resolution No. 1881, which authorizes the mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 to the provision-of-service agreement with the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce to cover additional July 4 parade security staffing and equipment.
Parks Director Lina Hicks said the resolution would allocate portions of $15,000 previously authorized by council: $8,500 for barriers lining the parade route, approximately $2,500 to cover overtime for six additional city staff who will help manage the parade, and $4,000 to the Chamber to hire security and event staffing. Hicks recommended approval and answered procedural questions.
Council moved, seconded, and approved the resolution during the meeting.
