The Shelby City Council approved a development agreement for an eight-acre industrial site with an Omaha-based developer to construct a minimum of 30 apartment housing units. The motion was made by Todd Frank and seconded by Pat Honeywell; recorded votes showed Hursey-Yes, Honeywell-Yes, Frank-Yes, True-No, and the motion carried.
At the same meeting the council approved several procurement items: the GWorks proposal for the city’s accounting and utility software for $18,124.91 (motion by Jackie Hursey, second by Todd Frank; roll call all ayes); a bid from Feld Fire for $17,500 to purchase five sets of bunker gear and one vest, and $1,360.00 to authorize disposal of old tires (mover Pat Honeywell, second Jackie Hursey; roll call all ayes). The council also approved the March 18 claims.
Chad Kehrt of V&K presented a Streets Conditions Analysis to the council and said he will make a few changes to the report prior to finalization.
