Board of Equalization voids tax roll correction, approves Vanguard agreements and files TERC decision

After adjourning as the Board of Supervisors on April 30, 2025, the Dodge County Board of Supervisors convened as the Board of Equalization and took several administrative actions.
The board unanimously voided tax roll correction #5769, saying the correction should not have been made due to a miscommunication between the Assessor's Office and the Treasurer's Office. The board also received correspondence from the Nebraska Tax Equalization and Review Commission (TERC) regarding a Decision and Order affirming the Dodge County Board of Equalization's decision in Kishen M. Patel Case No. 22C 0276; the correspondence was referred to County Attorney Hopkins.
The Board unanimously approved a License Agreement and Service Agreement with Vanguard Appraisals, Inc. to add one more CAMAvision license so an additional assessor user may access the software in the field; costs will be prorated and rolled into an overall contract beginning in August. The board also approved the cover sheet to be submitted with 2025 protest forms. The Board of Equalization adjourned until May 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
