Dodge County approves wildlife management agreement; county to notify USDA and shift contractor dates

The Dodge County Board unanimously approved a Wildlife Management/Exclusion Agreement with Scot Rosendahl of Earlybird Pest Control, LLC on April 16 and authorized Chairman Missel to sign the agreement.
Chairman Missel reported that the county’s current USDA contract for wildlife management, which expires June 30, 2025, contains no early termination clause. Because of that constraint, the Board’s motion adjusted the Earlybird contract service dates from April 1, 2025–March 31, 2026 to an effective date of July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026. County Clerk Micki Gilfry was instructed to send a letter to the USDA terminating the county’s current wildlife services contract.
The minutes add that Dodge County received no notification from the USDA that Mr. Rosendahl had retired from the Federal Government. The Board authorized necessary signatures on the new agreement. The minutes do not record contract dollar amounts or operational details of the wildlife services to be provided.
