Sharon BOE launches monthly communique and plans board photos for 'About Us' page

The Sharon Board’s Communication Committee reported on Feb. 9 that it has developed the first of a monthly communique to be distributed via the First Selectman's newsletter and posted in the Sharon Center School website’s 'News' section. Nancy Hegy Martin said the February newsletter will be spearheaded by Cathy Winburn and that the committee met twice with Jill Pace to reorganize content and review copy.
The committee asked the Board for feedback on the communique and the website. The Board supported adding photos of Board members to the BOE 'About Us' page; the Community Relations Committee will organize collection and posting of those images.
The minutes record these items as routine communications work; the Board did not take a formal vote on the content or budget for the newsletter during the meeting.
