Sanford council creates pump-track donation account, orders parking bids using FEMA funds and accepts kayak donation

Leah Ziems reported Midland County Parks & Rec will not use a set of kayaks and a "paddle shack" and offered to donate them; Council member Carl Hamann moved to accept the donation, seconded by Ziems, and the motion passed unanimously. DPW supervisor Matt Hall reported upcoming restriping work (Center Street deferred until repairs) and plans to solicit bids and designs for fall tree plantings at the ball diamonds.
Other park-related items discussed included a proposal for portable restrooms (a preliminary quote cited two bathrooms on a two-axle trailer for $3,995) and the SHS’s application to light the rail-trail bridge for Christmas.
