York Public Schools board approves minutes, bills, personnel contract extensions and negotiated agreement for 2026-27

The York Public Schools Board of Education approved routine business items during its Jan. 12 meeting, including the Dec. 8, 2025 meeting minutes and payment of bills.
Matt Holthe moved to approve the Dec. 8 minutes, seconded by Alex Hildebrand; the motion passed on roll call. Separately, Holthe moved to approve payment of bills and checks, seconded by Brian Tonnignes; that motion also passed by roll call.
The board approved 2026-27 contract extensions for six staff members. Alex Hildebrand moved (seconded by Alison North) to extend contracts for Lona Nelson, Katie Burger, Dan Flynn, Kenny Loosvelt, Brian Gralheer and Tyler Herman; the board approved the motion by roll call.
Finally, the board approved the negotiated agreement for the 2026-27 contract year as presented. Pepper Papineau moved the agreement, Matt Holthe seconded, and the motion carried on a roll-call vote.
All recorded roll-call votes on these business items were affirmative as entered into the meeting record.
