The Brookline Selectboard held a public hearing May 12 on a proposed increase to the town driveway permit fee and voted to raise the fee from $35 to $50.
Chair Eddie Arnold opened the hearing at 7:00 p.m.; no members of the public spoke. The board closed the hearing at 7:02 p.m. and then voted on a motion by Selectboard member Stephen Dolfini, seconded by Ed Perry, to approve the new fee. The motion passed by a 5-0 vote.
The board indicated the fee increase will be reflected in the fee schedule and enforced through the Town’s permitting process; details and any implementation date will be confirmed at a subsequent meeting or in posted material from the Town Administrator’s office.
What’s next: The Selectboard placed the driveway permit fee item on the record for implementation; residents seeking information were directed to Town Hall and the Town website.
