Committee members said the work covers four signs, posts, painting and brackets and estimated the total project will run a little over $9,000. Department of Public Works staff will collect a damaged post that could not be repaired and store it rather than send it to disposal.
Members clarified that sponsorship signs are handled separately from the municipal welcome signs and will follow a different approval and placement process. The committee agreed to notify current donors and offer them an opportunity to renew their recognition under the new sign program once installation is complete.
The group asked staff to finalize the post-installation plan and to confirm whether any additional hardware or follow-up maintenance costs will be required. DPW installation and return of the salvaged post were presented as next steps; members said the new hardware should be ready for installation roughly a week to 10 days after production.
