At its March 11, 2026 meeting the Pella City Community Development Committee approved its tentative agenda and the minutes of the Dec. 10, 2025 meeting and conducted its annual officer elections and subcommittee appointments.
Motion by Bob Zylstra, second by Allissa Grandia approved the tentative agenda (7-0). A motion by Jerry Brummel, second by Chris Meyers approved the Dec. 10, 2025 minutes (7-0). Vice-Chairperson Patsy Cody moved, with a second from Bob Zylstra, to elect Caryn Van Hemert as Chair and Allissa Grandia as Vice-Chair for 2026; that motion carried 7-0.
The committee also filled three-member rosters for its standing subcommittees. The Design Subcommittee will be Wayne Stienstra, Dennis Vander Beek and Christi Vander Voort; the Sign Subcommittee will be Jerry Brummel, Patsy Cody and Chris Meyers. Bob Zylstra made the motion, seconded by Chris Meyers, to approve those appointments; the motion carried 7-0. Cody agreed to take Grandia’s seat on the Sign Subcommittee before the vote.
