The Seward County Board of Equalization convened at 8:30 a.m. on June 23 and approved the county assessor’s list of 2026 valuation-change notices to be mailed to affected property owners. The list covers numerous parcels across Seward County as compiled by the Assessor’s Office.
Later in the session the Board held a protest hearing concerning parcel number 800017161 (owned by Peyton Schluckebier), who was not present for the hearing. The Board accepted the Assessor’s recommendation and made no change to the parcel valuation of $354,831 (motion moved by Raegan Hain, seconded by Darrell Zabrocki; affirmative votes recorded for Hain, Zabrocki, Pekarek and Chair Misty Ahmic). County Assessor Marilyn Hladky provided an update on departmental activities during the meeting.
The Board listed known agenda items for its June 30 meeting and adjourned the session at 8:53 a.m.
