The River Ridge Community Development District board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1, term expiring Nov. 2026) at its Aug. 27 meeting. Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman's resignation letter and the board approved acceptance by motion.
Staff and board members noted Mr. Gilman represented The Meadows for the last eight years and agreed to notify residents of the vacancy and candidate qualification requirements. The board asked Mr. Long and The Meadows' POA manager to e-blast residents and requested interested candidates submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting. Administration of the oath of office and related ethics and disclosure training materials were deferred and will be provided in a separate package when a replacement is appointed.
The board recorded the resignation acceptance by unanimous motion and will place candidate submissions on the next meeting agenda for appointment consideration.
