Windsor Locks board accepts finance director's resignation and later approves salary increases in executive session

The Windsor Locks Board of Education accepted the resignation of Director of Finance and Operations Alison Pierce effective July 14, 2024 and expressed appreciation for her two years of service.
Mr. Robert Stacy, the district's director of human resources, told the board he had received Pierce's resignation. The board moved (L. Cutler), seconded (A. Osorio) and unanimously approved acceptance of the resignation.
Later in the meeting the board entered executive session under Connecticut General Statutes Section 1-225(a) and Section 1-200(6) to discuss compensation for a set of district positions and to conduct the superintendent's evaluation and contract discussion. Attendance for the compensation discussion was limited to board members, the superintendent and the human-resources director as noted in the minutes.
After returning to public session at 10:13 p.m., the board moved (A. Osorio), seconded (G. Guyette) and unanimously approved salary increases referenced in the executive-session discussion for the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, the Human Resources Director and the Grants Manager/Staff Accountant. The minutes record the approvals but do not list the new salary amounts.
