Pembroke approves routine payments, levies delinquent water and sewer bills, and purchases new mower

The Pembroke Town Board unanimously approved a set of routine financial and procurement actions Nov. 13, including authorization to pay Abstract #20 of 2025, levying delinquent water and sewer bills on the 2026 tax warrant, and purchasing a new park mower.
By resolution, the board approved submitting payments contained in Abstract #20 (motion by Councilwoman Kathleen Manne; second by Councilman Edward G. Arnold, Jr.). The minutes do not specify the total in Abstract #20.
The board also approved two levy actions: (1) authorizing delinquent water rents for properties served by the Batavia Water District to be levied on the 2026 tax warrant (amount listed as $521.73 on the attached list, subject to amendment); and (2) authorizing delinquent sewer bills owed to the Village of Corfu to be levied on the 2026 tax warrant (amount listed as $665.03, subject to amendment). Supervisor Thomas Schneider moved the water levy; Councilman Edward G. Arnold moved the sewer levy; both measures passed 4–0.
On equipment, the board approved purchase of a Ferris ISC3300 72" zero-turn lawn mower with field groomer from Alexander Equipment for $21,295.17 using a state bid. The board also approved auctioning the town’s 2018 Ferris mower at Auctions International and authorized a budget transfer of $5,000 from account A7110.4 to A7110.2 to help fund the purchase.
Why it matters: These routine financial approvals keep town operations funded and shift small delinquencies to the tax roll for collection. The mower purchase replaces aging park equipment and was funded via state contract and a modest intra-budget transfer.
