Members reviewed a spreadsheet of potential funding options for future vehicle replacements.
Paul Newlin, a committee member, asked how the committee should frame conversions to the public — emphasizing monetary savings, environmental benefits, or both — and requested carbon-offset or emissions-savings figures to demonstrate community benefits. The committee agreed that this data would help craft outreach and that absent member Joyce Palmer-Fortune should review the materials and return comments.
No formal decisions on funding or a public messaging plan were adopted; the committee listed follow-up tasks including obtaining clearer emissions/carbon-offset figures from the assessment materials and consolidating funding-option details for future consideration.
