Residents criticize HydroCorp backflow program, urge courthouse naming and celebrate Elks lodge award

Carmen DiFranco of 2935 Tuxedo Blvd asked the board to consider naming the courthouse in honor of Judge Richard Kuhn upon his retirement, citing decades of service and fairness. The suggestion was presented as a public recognition request for future consideration.
Grant Smith of the Pontiac Waterford Elks Lodge announced the lodge earned a Platinum Lodge Award from the Michigan Elks Association and highlighted the lodge’s community service, including organizing the Waterford Memorial Day Parade. Pamella Monville of 4695 Claudia Drive introduced herself as a longtime Waterford resident and former deputy court administrator; trustees redirected the discussion away from campaign-related remarks.
