Staff lists Les Paul Performance Center rebid; member asks why lead paint was not addressed earlier

Under reports and communications staff listed notices for a rebid of the Les Paul Performance Center project, a ceiling rehab on Sunset Drive, and improvement work at the Deer Trails and Fox Lake Village pump station.
A committee member asked specifically why lead paint had not been addressed during earlier work at the Les Paul Performance Center: "Why didn't we take care of lead paint then? Was it just not in the scope?" Staff and other members discussed that earlier inspections and project proposals led to piecemeal work and that the council had previously approved a larger scope but the contractor or approvers did not complete the full package at that time. A member indicated they would follow up with Ron Groll for additional scope and budget detail.
Staff also noted a public-works overview video from the mayor's breakfast will be posted to the city's YouTube channel.
