NECCOG approves STIP amendments, policy affirmations and regional referrals

The Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments moved and approved several procedural and project items at its March 24 meeting.
A motion to approve the previous meeting minutes was made by Allan Cahill and seconded by David Eaton; the motion carried.
The board approved annual policy affirmations for NECCOG and NECTD covering ADA, Title VI/Environmental Justice and Limited English Proficiency requirements (motion by Tracey Hanson, second by Allan Cahill).
Multiple State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) amendments and project entries were presented, including bridge replacements, NEVI program administration ($1,000,000), a resilience improvement plan and vulnerability assessment ($750,000), statewide TDM entries and retaining wall projects; Kevin Cunningham moved to approve the STIP items and Allan Cahill seconded the motion, which passed.
The council approved regional referrals including traffic-control signal projects (project 0172-0501), Plainfield zoning text amendments (proposed moratorium language and map references) and Brooklyn site-plan submission revisions; Christopher Lippke moved approval and David Eaton seconded.
The meeting adjourned at 10:03 a.m. on a motion by Allan Cahill, seconded by David Eaton, with all in favor.
