The Sylvania Board of Education on June 22 approved the appointment of Dave Dolius as assistant principal for teaching and learning at Southview High School.
Incoming superintendent Tim Zeroff introduced Dolius and summarized his background: more than a decade of administrative experience at Parisburg High School, oversight of graduation coordination and master scheduling, teacher evaluations, support for state and college-readiness testing, involvement in PBIS and MTSS initiatives, and experience supporting students through IEP and 504 processes. Zeroff also noted Dolius' academic credentials (a bachelor of science in education from Ohio University and a master's in educational leadership from Windgate University) and that he and his wife are members of the local community with three children attending district schools.
The board voted on the appointment during the meeting; members recorded votes in favor. The appointment will proceed and HR will finalize necessary paperwork.
