Mr. Johnson, who presented the board's report, said the beer fund balance stood at about $286,000 and that $38,000 in fines had been collected so far this year. The board handled requests to postpone or withdraw several applications; First Lutheran Church and La Patrona asked to postpone to July, while Unique Academy and Weekends withdrew their applications.
Owner David Euan of High Public House acknowledged his manager had not attended a mandatory training class; the board granted an extension to complete the training by the next beerboard meeting so the establishment could retain its permit. Officer Presley and staff repeatedly reminded applicants about common missing items that must be submitted to the business tax office to obtain finalized permits.
The board completed business and adjourned after confirming other applicants had met recent training requirements. Applicants approved "pending final documentation" were instructed to bring completed paperwork to the business tax office during business hours or pick up permits at the meeting when requirements were satisfied.
The board's action was procedural and administrative; no enforcement hearings were concluded at this session. Additional enforcement or full revocation hearings (for example, the active suspension/revocation matter for Harbs Market) remain scheduled for later dates if parties cannot reach agreements prior to a hearing.
