NECCOG endorses moving forward on five regionalization concepts for RPIP grant applications

John Filchak, NECCOG executive director, presented five concepts the council commonly discusses and asked for consensus to develop them as RPIP grant applications for formal action at the October meeting.
The five concepts are: a regional or shared town-administration feasibility and implementation analysis; regional or shared assessor services feasibility and implementation analysis; regional or shared finance services feasibility and implementation analysis; town consolidation and/or enhanced regionalization analysis; and a regional fire and ambulance assessment with suggestions for collaboration.
Council members agreed to proceed with preparing grant applications and will consider formal votes on each concept at the October meeting.
