NECCOG approves August minutes, zoning referrals and nine STIP projects at Sept. 23 special meeting
Summary
At its Sept. 23 special meeting, the Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments unanimously approved August minutes, two regional zoning referrals and nine STIP project amendments and projects; motions were moved and seconded by council members and passed without dissent.
Tracy Hanson, NECCOG chair, opened the special meeting at 9:33 a.m. and the council moved quickly through procedural business, approving the August 2022 meeting minutes.
Mr. Seney moved to approve the August minutes and Mr. Cunningham seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting, the council approved two regional zoning referrals — Ashford (Z-2022-98) and a Brooklyn zoning regulation request — on a motion by Mr. Cunningham with a second from Mr. Seney.
The board also considered a package of Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) amendments and new projects, including statewide computerized traffic signal systems operational improvements and several local bridge replacements. Mr. Seney moved to approve STIP items 1–9 and Mr. Cahill seconded; the council approved the listed projects unanimously. Funding lines and totals were read into the record for the items presented.
The meeting record shows no public comments were offered during the special meeting. The session adjourned at 10:53 a.m. on a motion by Mr. Seney, seconded by Mr. Cunningham that passed unanimously.
