The Chariton City Council approved two grant applications to the Lucas County Community Foundation.
Council approved $5,940.48 for new tables in the concession stand area at the Vredenburg-Chariton Family Aquatic Center. The council also approved a grant request for up to $10,000 to purchase a drone to be used jointly by the fire department, police department and building and codes department. Both motions passed unanimously.
