The Carter Lake Planning Board on March 10 set a public hearing for April 14, 2025, to consider Overland Properties’ rezoning request for a parcel south of Avenue K to allow an R3 senior-housing development.
Austin, representing Overland Properties, told the board the company will provide a survey and legal description to define the portion of the parcel targeted for rezoning and that the team will be ready to present full materials at the April hearing. The board requested the applicant file complete submittal materials at least 10 days before the public hearing so notice and packet items can be posted and mailed per state and local rules.
The board also directed planning staff to ensure the public hearing notice and supporting exhibits are posted prominently and added to the city’s meeting channels so a broad part of the community can review the proposal before the April meeting.
