Council advances golf-cart and UTV code changes and schedules public hearing on consolidated code

Code consolidation: Staff presented a proposed consolidated code of ordinances (paper copies provided to council) and recommended placing a single official copy in the clerk’s office and publishing notice for a public hearing next month. Council set the public hearing date and discussed that an online, searchable version would be available after adoption but carries an annual subscription cost discussed in the meeting.
The council recorded first-reading votes on the golf-cart and code-publication matters and adopted the UTV ordinance on second/final reading.
