P&Z asks town attorney to review newly adopted Art Gallery regulation

At its May 7 meeting the Town of Sherman Planning & Zoning Commission agreed to request a legal review and recommendation from the town attorney on a new Art Gallery regulation the commission adopted last month.
Chair C. Dacunha raised the item during a discussion of 2026 commission goals. Commissioner J. Burruano prepared a letter to transmit the regulation to the town attorney, and the commission agreed to request the attorney’s review and recommendation.
Commissioners also discussed subcommittee work: the Affordable Housing subcommittee planned a meeting on Monday and the Regulations Rewrite subcommittee planned to meet Wednesday to continue research and report back to the full commission.
The minutes show the request for attorney review was approved by consensus and no additional materials or deadlines were recorded in the minutes.
