At its May 19 meeting the Park County Fair Board reviewed finances and approved the Treasurer’s Report after Treasurer Rusty Williams reported an account balance of $107,247.84.
Williams said QuickBooks Online has been established and banking updates completed. The board held a discussion about adopting business debit cards, implementing Zelle for payments and selecting payment-processing options for fair operations. No specific third-party processor was chosen at the meeting; the board directed staff to evaluate available QuickBooks plans and payment tools to determine the best fit for ongoing operations.
The board also approved an amendment to the previous meeting minutes (moving Ray Douglas and Rob Sorbara to Associate Member status) and approved the minutes as amended. Meeting minutes and the Treasurer’s Report were recorded as approved in the meeting record.
Board members flagged payment-processing adoption and debit card acquisition as follow-up items to be handled by fair administration and the treasurer prior to the upcoming fair.
