Montgomery Township health staff announced a free skin cancer screening in partnership with Screen New Jersey and the Rutgers Cancer Institute on Monday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Appointments are required; the health department said residents can schedule by texting the word "screen" to 43386 or by scanning the QR code on the event flyer. "If they text the word screen to the phone number 43386, they'll get a prompt to schedule an appointment for, skin cancer screening for free here on Monday, August 12 from 2 to 6PM," the staff member said.
The screenings will be conducted from the Screen New Jersey van at the municipal building parking area. Staff said they will circulate the flyer and appointment information through the township e‑bulletin and social channels.
The department asked board members to help publicize the appointment method and the event to encourage participation.
