Board staff characterized the item as a continuation; the Chair explicitly confirmed that no new notice is required. There was no substantive debate recorded on the merits of the variance at the Aug. 22 meeting, and the board did not take a vote to continue the item.
The continuation means the board will resume consideration of the application at its scheduled Sept. 24 meeting. Neighbors, staff reports, or additional exhibits were not discussed on the Aug. 22 record.
