The Region 4 Supervision District Committee was told Oct. 9 that the district’s finances are tracking as expected and that staff expect to meet current obligations.
Robert Grissom, the district’s finance director, said closing work for the previous fiscal year is under way and an audit is ongoing; the region expended about 98% of last year’s budget and any surplus will be credited to the next budget cycle. For the current fiscal year, reporting through September 2025 shows approximately 94.4% of the budget spent. Grissom said encumbrances were discussed and that budget information for Region 4 projects will be made available as projects are completed.
The committee did not take formal budget action at the Oct. 9 meeting; Superintendent Brian White and Assistant Superintendent Sarah Brzozowy deferred their reports to the Joint Board of Education meeting. The committee set follow-up and reporting expectations for project-level budget visibility and scheduled a Region 4 budget workshop for Dec. 18, 2025.
The committee’s next regular meeting is Dec. 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
