Members expressed support for finding a recurring funding source for incentives. After a motion, the authority voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2026‑03. Recorded votes were yes from Brown, Short, Ables, Murray and Chair Box.
The authority immediately took up Resolution 2026‑04 to raise the Business Incentive Grant (BIG) cap to $25,000. Staff explained the BIG program is focused on Main Street and that the $25,000 cap codifies prior discussion about aligning alley/alternative access incentives with the bigger Main Street cap. A motion to approve the resolution passed unanimously; recorded votes were yes from Brown, Short, Ables, Murray and Chair Box.
Members said the increased cap aligns with earlier conversations about making larger awards available for certain Main Street projects. Chair Box moved the measures forward with no amendments; specific mover/second names were not specified on the record.
