UVA has about $1.1 million remaining in the grant period, primarily for furniture and vendor payments, and the current grant period ends June 30, 2026. Staff recommended the committee confirm the remaining expenditures align with the approved budget and the implementation benchmarks previously approved by the board.
Board members asked whether the standing committee was active and ready to review the request; staff confirmed membership remains intact though the committee had not met recently. One board member said they would abstain from any decision on the UVA matter because of a personal connection to UVA. The board accepted the referral for committee review; the committee's findings will return to the full board for final action.
