Planning board continues public hearing for Two Summers Road development to July 22, 2026

The Town of Hampden Planning Board voted to continue the public hearing on the Two Summers Road development application (case 2026A) to July 22, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. The continuance followed a June 16, 2026 letter from Arloc Associates on behalf of applicant Salmar Realy explaining that civil revisions, utility coordination and additional traffic data processing remain in progress and that peer reviewers need time to evaluate updated materials.

Chair Madison Pixley read the letter aloud and summarized that the project team has obtained additional traffic counts (Bowman, the traffic consultant) and awaits processed field data and revised civil plans. The consultant requested a date certain in July so the updated materials can be submitted and reviewed by the town’s peer reviewers. Board members discussed scheduling and agreed July 22 as the continuance date; the motion to continue was made, seconded and approved.

Board members also discussed upcoming calendar items including a possible contract for municipal legal services with KP Law, anticipated public hearings for a battery energy storage system (BESS) proposal, and accessory dwelling unit (ADU) bylaw revisions (noting ADU zoning changes may require town meeting action). The board confirmed it will circulate updated materials and peer‑review comments before the continued hearing.

The continuance preserves the public‑hearing record and sets a date for the applicant to return with revised civil and traffic information; no substantive merits determinations were made at this meeting.
