Board members discussed the status of the facilities feasibility study during committee reports. Anthony, speaking for Buildings & Grounds, said the finalized copy of the study is near completion and the board plans to invite the architecture firm to a special meeting to present findings and answer questions.
Trustees noted the study will likely conclude with a recommendation that would require voter approval and said financing for major recommendations would most likely be by bond. "If there's things that the architecture firm may share ... most likely it will be a bond," a committee member said during the discussion.
No bond amount, timeline or vote was presented at the Jan. 21 meeting; board members emphasized they want to complete budget work first and will schedule the special meeting for the architecture firm presentation once materials are final.
