Chamber and tourism staff report uptick in online interest; new Chamber office opens

Joy McCray, Chamber Director, and Luke Freeman, Carter County Tourism Coordinator, presented an update on advertising and events intended to boost tourism in Carter County. Freeman said Google analytics show increased interest over the past year and Facebook engagement has been steady more recently.
McCray thanked County Mayor Patty Woodby for speaking to the Youth Ambassadors and noted the Chamber has relocated to a new building at 615 E. Elk Ave. David LeVeau of Security Federal attended to express appreciation for county and Chamber efforts to promote tourism.
Commissioners asked about analytics and Freeman confirmed Google data show growth over roughly a year while Facebook tracking is more recent.
