Staff said about 10 district chaperones will accompany students and that any non-district chaperones who stay overnight will be fingerprinted through the police department per volunteer procedures. The board approved the trip after questions about chaperone ratios and fundraising support for students in need were addressed.
No detailed cost breakdown was presented at the meeting; staff said they will work with families and the booster community on fundraising if a need is identified.
