Saugatuck’s DPW Superintendent and engineer presented a recommendation at the Aug. 21 workshop to award road resurfacing work totaling $148,176.20 for portions of Lucy, Francis, Griffith and Mason streets.
Engineer Jon Moxey described the scope as resurfacing repairs for those street segments and provided the cost figure. The presentation was listed on the workshop agenda as a recommendation of award; the minutes do not record a formal vote to approve the contract during the workshop.
Council members raised related operational questions elsewhere in the meeting, including a separate comment about a blocked sidewalk at Water and Francis Streets and how long such closures can remain in place under local rules.
Any formal contract award will follow the city’s procurement and approval processes.
