The Village of Shelby Planning Commission met on Aug. 19, 2025; Chairperson Ross Field called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. and confirmed roll call. Commissioners Samantha Near and Paul Inglis were present; Commissioners John Sutton and Tim Horton were absent. Village Administrator Phil Morse and Clerk/Treasurer Crystal Budde attended.
Commissioner Paul Inglis moved to approve the minutes of the July 15, 2025 Planning Commission meeting "as presented." The motion was seconded by Samantha Gottschalk and adopted by voice vote with "all in favor," according to the meeting record. The minutes were noted as unofficial until approved at the next regularly scheduled meeting on Sept. 16, 2025.
The commission then reviewed a draft update to the Master Plan. Members identified minor inconsistencies in the draft and agreed that corrections would be made; no formal public hearing or adoption of the Master Plan occurred during the session. The meeting record lists the review under commission administrative business and indicates staff will implement the minor corrections.
There were no reports and no public comment recorded at the meeting. With no further business, Chairperson Ross Field adjourned the meeting at 7:39 P.M.
The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet next on Sept. 16, 2025; the minutes from Aug. 19, 2025 will be presented for formal approval at that meeting.
