Shelby schedules public presentation on water and sewer rate study; MRWA recommends 25% increase

According to the administrator’s report, MRWA recommended a 25% increase in water and sewer rates for the Village. Morse told the council he has observed many communities facing similar rate pressures and characterized the MRWA-recommended increase as relatively mild compared with adjustments occurring across the state. No action on rates was taken at the council meeting; the item is on the schedule for public presentation and discussion.
